Last weekend was Lammas. I absolutely love celebrating eight festivals of the year for lots of reasons. The main reason is that I like celebrating life and that is another occasion to do so. To me eight festivals are mostly for fun, therefore I do not stick to pagan traditions of doing specific things on these days. Occasionally I may do some magick connected to the theme of the festival. Over all I prefer just to do something nice to mark the day.
This time we decided to visit Spanish tapas bar we discovered some time ago. The place is totally unique in character. It is a small bar located on the ground floor of small terraced house. It is furnished more like a house as well. It is very cosy and friendly looking. There’s lots of paintings on the walls, most of them for sale. A second, bigger room is behind the bar and kitchen. To get there you walk through the corridor, having the open kitchen area on your left, so you can see the staff preparing food. Feels just like home! At the back there’s a small yard with a single table surrounded by plants. Absolutely charming little place.
We arrived there in the evening. Bar was full of young people. most of them chatting over a glass of wine or beer. We decided to sit in the garden. It is more quite and romantic. Perfect for a couple. We ordered bottle of Spanish red wine and tapas. It was lovely to sit there outside surrounded by flowers and candles ,with the starry sky above our heads, listening to punk and drinking wine. After we left the bar there was a firework display. We watched it from the park nearby and then took a nice walk along the river, back to our flat. It was a truly magical evening.
